Cherry Hill, NJ – AHEPA Chapter 69 Camden hosted what’s become their fall initiation event at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church. The AHEPA room was the scene of 35 members attending the annual gathering that brings together chapters from Districts #4 and #5. Two new members were inducted into the National organization that has more than 1800 members and is the largest Greek-American organization in North America.

Louie Panagopoulos was sworn into Chapter 445 Thermopylae, of Upper Darby, while Jim Nicoludis became a member of Camden Chapter 69. The ceremony is part of a long tradition at AHEPA that unites members as brothers. Members looked on as the two new members were led through the process and then to the altar for a final swearing in. “It’s an honor to be part of the AHEPA. My father was also a member” said Louie Panagopoulos.

Two Supreme officers were in attendance, Chris Diamantoukos Supreme Governor Region 3, and George G. Horiates, Esq., Supreme Counselor, who oversaw the affair. AHEPA members from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware were in attendance. The evening concluded with a group photo, following the recipients receiving AHEPA pins.
